Osho From Sex to Superconsciousness

In 1968, a well-known teacher named Acharya Rajneesh later known as Osho-delivered five discourses on the subject of love and sex to a large audience in Mumbai, India.

In these discourses, Osho revives the teachings and spirit of the ancient traditions of Tantra and Yoga. Since ancient times, India has been a pioneer in exploring the profound connection between sexual energy and spirituality, devising methods and paths leading to higher states of consciousness. Osho presents this timeless message in modern language, making available to the public teachings that in earlier times were reserved for select groups of seekers on the Tantric or Yogic path, who sought ways to transform sexual energy into spiritual energy.

Osho outlines a path: man must first understand and accept sex naturally, as it is the core of nature’s reproductive mechanism and the seat of its most powerful energy. Only when this energy is fully understood and accepted can it naturally rise upward, allowing the individual to experience a state of superconsciousness-ultimate love.

The original Hindi title of this discourse series is “Sambhog Se Samadhi Ki Aur”, which literally means “From Sex to Samadhi.” Hence, this series is titled “From Sex to Superconsciousness” in English, as Samadhi represents the ultimate state of consciousness.
